Superior, Nebraska

The Victorian Festival Honoring Lady Vestey is held each year, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, on Memorial Day weekend to honor Superior's most famous former resident, Evelyn Brodstonte, Lady Vestey. Activites throughout the weekend emphasize the community's Victorian heritage, with citizens dressed in period costumes, a parade, Victorian Tea, a portrayal of Lady Vestey's life, and events designed to appeal to family members of all ages, such as games and train rides.

The Victorain Festival Honoring Lady Vestey has been selected by a national publication as one of the Top Ten Festivals in the Nation. The festival has also received the Trailblazer Award of the Old west Trail Foundation, and has been honored as Nebraska's Outstanding Event by the Nebraska Department of Tourism and the Nebraska Community Improvement Program.

Visitors can participate in various entertainments and sports competitions, eat special meals prepared by local churches and other organizaitons, and shop in local stores.
